🤰💧 Low AFI (Amniotic Fluid Index) in pregnancy is more common than many people think — but it should never be ignored.
AFI refers to the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby inside the womb. This fluid plays an important role in your baby’s healthy growth, movement, lung development, and overall protection during pregnancy 🤍
When the fluid level becomes low, it is called Low AFI or Oligohydramnios.
Some possible signs may include:
• Reduced baby movements
• Fluid leakage
• Smaller baby bump than expected
• Changes noticed during pregnancy scans
The good news? ✨
With early diagnosis, proper hydration, regular monitoring, and timely medical care, Low AFI can often be managed safely for both mother and baby.
Most importantly — reduced baby movements during pregnancy should never be ignored 💖
